When selecting the DAS* Ancillary Services Catalogue in Galileo systems, subscribers in selected countries will see additional ancillary services: SKYCOUCH 1 PSGR, SKYCOUCH 2 PSGR, SKYCOUCH 3 PSGR, offered on all NZ prime flights between London Heathrow - Los Angeles - Auckland and Auckland - Tokyo - Auckland operated on B777-300 aircraft, alongside extra bag services already offered.

Paid Seats :

For low tier FF passengers standard seats are free on long-haul international services.? The rules are bit more complex for NZL Domestic and the Trans-Tasman/Pacific Islands fares.

1. On all routes - high tier FF seats (front zone) standard seats will only be offered to qualifying customers.
2. NZ domestic - shows as chargeable seats unless PNR is ticketed and domestic product is a Flexitime (FXT) or Flexiplus (FXP) fare, then standard seats are free.
3. If standard seats are requested before ticketing and then later the ticket is issued at Flexitime/Flexiplus a cancellation SSR ADMD is generated so that the seat becomes free.
4. Trans-Tasman/Pacific Islands, HNL, and DPS - issue ticket first. If Seat+Bag then standard seats are chargeable. If Works product standard seats are free etc. Can purchase Exit and Preferred seats.
5. Long-haul international - standard seats are free all customers. FF seats front zone, preferred seats, and exit rows are paid.
6. No discount for child, infant, UMNR.
7. Different PTC codes selling different seat types : NZ Domestic fares use PTC codes for pricing. The TIM and CTZ PTC codes have access to Exit and Preferred paid seats.

Skycouch requires pricing data so please always combine DAS and Pricing in the same entry:

This is a Travel Services ancillary service and not a Seat Assignment service. Skycouches are located in the forward economy cabin on the outer triple seats.

One Skycouch can be booked for a maximum of two adults plus one child, more than one Skycouch may be requested if the booking contains additional passengers.

Ensure the service appropriate to the number in the party travelling (SKYCOUCH 1 PSGR, SKYCOUCH 2 PSGR, SKYCOUCH 3 PSGR).

You will not need to reserve specific seats as the carrier will handle this. Just ensure that an EMD is issued for the service before the date and time advised in the SSR ADMD element.

Request a Skycouch as you would any other ancillary service e.g. DAS01L5 to choose a Skycouch for 3 from the above Ancillary Catalogue list.

Your confirmed Skycouch will appear in an ASVC segment in status KD indicating confirmed and ready for EMD fulfilment :

SKYCOUCH/THREE ASVC KD 1 G/SC3/ASVC/SKYCOUCH3 PSGR

In the above mentioned example one instance of Skycouch has been confirmed (KD1) for 3 passengers.
